Review : "Outsider"
Drama or may be thriller you can call this malayalam movie "Outsider" released last friday across the theatres, Premlal directed this malayalam film "Outsider" has its own way of concentrating on the story and on somehow its look like its narration lacks a bit. After "Athmakadha", Premlal's "Outsider" may get the same attention which it get for the earlier movie. On the whole a nice approach and atleast you can give it a watch......
Thekkady settled boat driver Shivankutty characterized by Sreenivasan, struggles with his hard earned life and His daughter Manju, is the life of Shivankutty and he brought her up with that attention. On this process, one day shivankutty came to know about his daughters love affair with the local guy Mukundan enacted by Indrajith, which irked Shivankutty and that
develops the enemity between the two.
On the other hand Lawrence summarised by Pashupathy enter the show, a stranger turn the friend of Shivankutty, but later on Lawrence's psychotic behaviour lands him in trouble. However Shivankutty dug out the background of Lawrence, which came as a havoc on this family. Mukundan then on turn the helping hands to Shivankutty to solve out the rest of the story. Sreenivasan done the best from his side, but the show's charm is Pashupathy, whole movie is balanced on him, there it came as the "Outsider" effect. Pashupathy was best at his acting, Indrajith too made it well for the role. Rest of the cast Jagathy Sreekumar, Sreejith Ravi, Sai Kumar, Ganga Babu, Suraaj Venjharamoodu and others justified their characters.
Sameer Haq's visual as usual at the fine level, Music is nice with the hands of Sangeeth. Story could be litle more strong from the hands of Premlal then it may lead up to the expectations. For the banner of Gowri Meenakshi Movies, A.S.Gireesh Lal is the producer of this malayalam film "Outsider".
